Gender-based inequality is highly prevalent in the society. At household level, disempowerment of women results in their inferior access to education, employment, income, taking decisions and moving freely. Human and community development never can achieve without development of women as a prime face value or identity of the household and thus society.

Mobilizing poor women in various forums like SHG, Village organization, Cluster level federation and to its block level federation is an on-going mission mode in India.

Shamayita Math is more focused in promoting large number of sustainable livelihoods. Enhancement of livelihood avenues, capacity building of farmers with prime focus on women, mobilizing them in activity based group (ABG) and development of backward and forward linkages are the strategic approach for institution and capacity building.
