Shilpangan
Shamayita Math in joint collaboration with the Corporate Social Responsibility department of Durgapur Steel Plant have developed a skill development training campus – ‘Shilpangan’ at Harshabardhan Road Primary school, in Durgapur including classrooms, laboratories with training equipments.
For reaching out to the candidates residing in the villages and municipality areas in the outskirts of Durgapur , community meetings are organized and campaigning is done in the office of the BDOs.
At Shilpangan, the trainees with a minimum academic qualification of Class X get admission only after appropriate counseling. NSDC curriculum is followed for the training courses, each of six months duration, with three months classroom training including theory and practical followed by three months internship in hospital/nursing home.
These courses are conducted in partnership with Brainware Consultancy Ltd., financed by Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna and West Bengal Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe Development & Finance Corporation (WBSCSTD&FC).
