For promotion of education, Shamayita Math runs two institutions:
A CBSE affiliated school fro a school from Class Nursery to Class-XII has residential facility for 35 % students, who are coming from remote parts of the district and those coming from other districts. 29% of the students are either able to pay only half of the tution fees or receiving education free of cost.

We are looking forward for donors to provide support for these underprivileged residential children, majority of whom belong to Scheduled Caste /Scheduled Tribe families, many are first generation learners, many have lost one of the parents and for many students, parents are daily wage earners. But these children from the distressed families are no less than ones coming from urban areas- , obedient, disciplined, having not only good intellectual ability but have skill in extracurricular activities like music, dance and sports.

Shamayita Marang Buru Primary School
There are 150 students of age group 4 years to 10 years (belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and BPL families) in three number of primary schools , run by Shamayita Math, in three remote villages of Bankura. The school, running for 4 hours for 5 days in a week, provides supplementary education at primary level (Class Pre-primary to Class IV) to the students , apart from providing mid-day meal, books, stationery, uniform, etc. Running since 2010, Shamayita Marang Buru Primary School has gained popularity and acceptance among the villagers.
To become a sponsor for one student, pay ₹6,000.00 annually.
Remedial Learning Centre
Located in the heart of the rural community, Shamayita Math has identified the need for establishing supportive learning centres or remedial learning centres in the remote villages. For students , specially who are first generation learners, going to the government primary or secondary level school of the locality is not sufficient for a student to develop a total understanding of core subjects like Mathematics , language and science. Because of family responsibilities children are also not regular in attending schools. This creates a gap and ultimate result is - students’ drop out from schools. Remedial learning centres have worked out to be a good solution to address this- where a teacher provides necessary teaching inputs to a group of 20 students, specially in core subjects , to address the learning gaps.
Contribute Rs 5000 per month or Rs 60,000 annually for successful running of one such centre for supporting teacher’s remuneration and practice exercise books for the students.
Sponsor a bed in Jeevansurya Hospital
Jeevansurya hospital is a rural hospital which now has 35 beds. We are slowly expanding and enhancing the quality of service to the patients. To extend your support in this upgradation, contribute-
Rs 9000 for a semi fowler’s bed or Rs 18000 for a fowler’s bed.
Sponsor a medical camp in remote villages
Shamayita Math comes in close contact with the rural families in the project areas of West Bengal , Jharkhand, Orissa and Chhattisgarh through its multifarious interventions. Day to day sharing with these underprivileged people, we become aware of the poor health conditions of the beneficiaries. These people do not avail hospital facilities unless there arises some medical emergency. Hence medical camps with doctor, paramedics and medicine support is a regular intervention of the organization specially for the remote locations.
You may extend your support by contributing Rs 12,000 for sponsoring one medical camp for providing treatment support to 100 patients.
It has been found that the women, who are true home makers, who provide food for the family, are targets of nutrition deficiency, specially in a rural family. To address this alarming issues, the concept of Nutrition Garden is promoted by the organization. Nutrition garden is a mixed cropping system with a variety of vegetables, leafy greens, which are easy to grow and necessary for daily diet. Household organic waste is converted into organic compost manure to compensate nutrient requirement of the plant. Liquid homemade manure is used for nutrient management.

Fund a Scholarship
Dheemahi Scholarship is an inspiration for the talented and underprivileged students to go for higher education. Every year about twenty five students f the locality are selected under this scholarship scheme based on the students’ performance in the board examination and annual income of the famly.
Come forward and help a student from an underprivileged family in improving his/her scholastic performance for at least two years. The scholarship scheme is as follows:
- ₹ 12,000.00 (for 2 years for a student pursuing XIth and XIIth Grade in High School)
- ₹ 18,000.00 (for 2 years for a student pursuing graduation in college level)

Shamayita Math has runs a host of welfare activities for the community for which donations from kind hearts are accepted. Only with participation and involvement of generous hearts can expand and reach out to more number of beneficiaries and quality to their lives.
Donations are accepted for projects such as:
- Construction of school building for Boys’ section of Shamayita Convent School.
- Expansion of the infrastructure of Shamayita Jeevansurya Hospital.
- Bastradaan – the annual clothes distribution ceremony for the poor and old.
