Every year the Bengali month ‘Magh’ (January – February as per English calendar) brings with it moments of special significance as the organization celebrates ‘Maghotsav’ to mark the holy descendence of our Founder Sri Sri Prabhuji. The organization’s followers, devotees and well wishers in different towns and cities hold celebrations focusing on the ideology of the organization. The students of Shamayita Convent School celebrated the “Abirbhav Divas” on 7th February, 2020 to pay their homage and reverence to Sri Sri Prabhuji, the founder president of the school. A cultural programme in form of music-drama-dance-recitation was presented on the open stage of the school. This was followed by a presentation on expedition to the Mount Everest by a group of mountaineers who were invited by the school to share their experiences. It was thrilling experience for the students of the senior classes who gained good motivation for mountaineering through rich photographs and videos on the Himalayas.
The Dhanbad branch of Shamayita Math held the celebration on 2nd February, 2020 in Kolakusma area. The devotees of Dhanbad organized Anandan – a cultural evening.The programme was inaugurated through holy chants, followed by a spiritual talk focused on the philosophy of the organization which was followed by devotional music.
The Durgapur branch celebrated ‘Anandan’ on 8th February in Bidhan Bhawan auditorium. The devotees of Durgapur invited their guests and friends, all enjoyed the spiritual cum cultural evening – a perfect blend of inspiring speech, chorus music by students of Saptaparni, dance drama composed on the theme of spiritualism performed by a professional group.
The Kolkata Chapter of Shamayita Math celebrated Maghotsav on 9th February, 2020 at its branch in Karunamoyee Housing Estate. The evening was a fusion of devotional music, kirtan, followed by reading of Prabhuji’s message. A narrative drama was recited in form of a dialogue between Prabhuji, sharing His experience as a traveler in the caves of Himalayas and His devotee in Vedanta Kutir – His hermitage in His early days in the Ashram. This left the audience speechless in appreciation.
