Football League For The Grass Root Level Players

Shamayita Sports Academy (SSA) set up in the year 2010 promotes sports and games among the rural poor. Regular coaching in football through licensed coach attracts trainees from the age group 5 to 18 years. SSA participated in the baby league organized in the district by District Sports Association, Bankura and West Point School in adherence to the guidelines and regulations laid down by AIFF. Four teams from SSA participated in the league – under 7, under 9, under 11 and under 13 years of age. 32 teams from all over the district participated in the League. Each of the four teams of SSA will play 14 games each, thereby making a total of 56 games. Till date three groups – under 7, under 9, under 11 have the highest score in the district and will play in the finals scheduled on 24th February. The team of under 13 is in the fourth position currently.

In the finals held on 24th Feb’19 Shamayita Sports Academy became the champion in three age groups namely – under 7 years, under 9 years and under 11 years in Baby League of Bankura District.
