Bastradan :- the festival for distribution of a set of new dress to the poor and the distressed stepped into its 22nd year. Shamayita Math has a good networking with the villages within a radius of 25 km from the organization headquarters at Ranbahal, Amarkanan, Bankura through its livelihood developmental activities While working closely with the rural people, we come across women – who are disadvantaged- who are old or single and have no one to be taken care of . New saree on the occasion of Durgapuja was distributed to 1500 rural women from 65 villages from Gangajalghati and Chhatna Block on 14th and 15th October, 2018.
Sarad Baran :- This is an initiative of the senior students of Shamayita Convent School for presenting a new set of dress to the kids of Marang Buru Primary school. Under leadership of the seniors, majority of the students contribute and raise fund for the event Sharad Baran – in which a set of new dress was presented to 150 students from three Marang Buru schools and 50 students from Kenthulia Primary school. A cultural programme was also organized, where the students of both Shamayita Convent School and Marang Buru School perform- music, dance drama.
