"Childhood is the appropriate time to shape the children. They are now green and tender in age and are like lumps of clay. They should be allowed to grow in tune with their innate potentialities. Nothing should be thrust upon them. It is a place to cater and help them develop in their own ways. The institution is a facilitator only. It will have everything over here-- the Vedant to cultivate, Einstein to read, songs and dances to practise and the Macbeth to study along with the Romeo and Juliet. The institution will have the latest system in-built to provide the most modern and up-to-date teaching techniques. It will also have the ancient classical traditions. The students will choose as they like to follow. Wherever they stay, whatever field they take to, I wish them a perfect base." - Sri Sri Prabhuji

In the 21st century, the pure academic based education that the students are introduced to is steadily paving way to a life which is typically stereo-type, mechanical, imitation of another patterned life with no creativity, innovation and originality. The core aim of education is to foster all round development of a child. All round development essentially means development of intellectual, physical, moral, social and cultural values.

Intellectual development of a personality is achieved to a large extent through classroom education, but aesthetic development like character building, spiritual and moral values, physical growth and creativity and many more are backed by activities like music, drama, painting, recitation, sports.

To fulfil these objectives, there is a prime need of striking balance between syllabus, curriculum, books and also co-curricular activities. Shamayita Math’s objective is to mould a child’s life in a way – which is a perfect blend of academics and co-curricular activities. On one hand, the organization, through Shamayita Convent school, shapes the life of a student, in such a way that she/he becomes self reliant and leads a self esteemed life.

On the other hand the organization has given a thought for all round development of children of the underprivileged-through two wings:

  1. Saptaparni – the unit for promotion of music, drama, painting, recitation, yoga, karate.
  2. Shamyita Sports Academy – for development of sports skill, specially athletics and football.

Training in any one or more of the above- opens a new horizon, inculcates a sense of sportsmanship, competitive spirit, leadership , cooperation , responsibility, accountability and team spirit, apart from developing a special skill and hence help in developing the overall personality.
